Ducksday
Ducksday is a Belgian brand. Ducksday makes durable UV swimwear, but also rain and winter clothing for children up to size 116. Children's clothing with Oeko-tex 100 certificate.
All products from the collections are Oekotex certified and therefore contain no harmful ingredients. Since 2018 Ducksday has also been working with Bionic Finish Eco®, an ecological finish that makes the winter and rain collection waterproof (10,000mm). Moreover, both collections are breathable (5000) and windproof and Ducksday attaches great importance to quality and comfort.
The rainwear collection for children is finished with waterproof zippers and taped seams and the winter collection is lined with high-quality padding (which means you can wear the collection down to -25°C). Main material is polyester, they hope to be able to work with recycled polyester in the future and thus transform old, worn-out rain suits into new ones! Both collections also work with 3M reflectors, the best quality for increased visibility in traffic!
The Lycra summer collection has a UV protection factor of 50+, the highest protective factor, to protect the delicate skin of children from the harmful rays of the sun. The collection includes swimsuits, t-shirts, bottoms, sun hats, ....
The production of the collection takes place in China, under good conditions, for a fair wage and certainly no child labor(!). They have the best knowledge of outdoor clothing there. Ducksday has daily telephone contact with this producer and will visit as often as possible. They are also looking for environmentally friendly solutions for transport: part of the Ducksday collection came from China by train this year!
